Adair Robinson started drawing early on, at eight years, often asking her parents' guests to 'sit' for her while she drew them in pencil. As an adult, she experimented with other mediums such as charcoal, oil, and acrylics, beginning with portraiture, then to landscapes of Idaho, Arizona, and Costa Rica, where she resides. Some works are deliberately humorous in her attempts to capture those moments when we are vulnerable but imminently human. The intention of this artist is to utilize frozen time and space to touch a viewer's memory and emotion.more
